That looks incredibly expensive. I think my welding classes were like 150 a credit plus a lab fee for consumables and metal (which was well worth it for how much I burnt up). Check into the tech schools and community college offerings. You'll get more lab time and they'll be cheaper.

I agree that is unbelievably expensive. I agree also that you should look into the community colleges or tech schools. They are sometimes subsidised by the government so they can keep there costs lower.

Thats my two cents

there is thirty days of welding....

the local classes up here will run you $275.00 for 36 hours. and they will be adding a $75 lab fee so now your up to $350 for 36 hours.

tally up the hours and ask if they have refrences

why are you intrested in taking classes...?

I agree, pretty steep $$$!

I took a 42 hour night class at the local vocational school last winter for $250. That cost covered everything included a "student grade" helmet, coat and gloves.

well I will exuse your sarcasm but the way that they have it printed is misleading (or atleast to my dumbass)

but what would you expect from a welding supply store....that offers a welding class ?

they markup the prices on the machines. then they mark up the classes and they bone you from both ends -
