Hi guys, my 180 just started acting up yesterday. When hitting the foot pedal, we get molten tungsten, no argon feed, and a buzzing sound from the spark gap assembly (with wild sparking action!!). I called my local tig hospital, who of course want me to rush it right in, so they can start a walletectomy on me!! If anyone out there can help, it will really be Appreciated! Many Thanks.

Call Miller and ask for the tig service department. Sounds like it's the gas solenoid. I assume you turned on the gas and the regulator is working.

If under warranty they can even ship you the part directly.

problem solved!!! It all came down to a loose wire in the foot control. As frustrated as I was, I neglected to check that out the first time. I new this machine wouldn't let me down!! :D
