I finally got my weld adapter to use the spoolgun on the xmt 350. I never knew the spool gun to be so good never again with I use it on the miller matic. The arc is much smoother. It sounds much smoother and different and I dont have to much time using it yet but I think its easier to set up. One thing I do know is since I used it for half a day I don't think Ive ever welded alum so nice and consistent. I have had this spool gun for fiveyears now.

I have been saying the same thing for a while now,but not a lot of people have been listening.I have been impressed by every proccess that my XMT does.It is just a super smooth machine with a first class arc quality. The local plant that I retired from,a few years ago, made the move to mostly XMT machines and they are very happy with the technology and arc quality in these machines,as well as 0 breakdowns. The XMT is a tough and energy efficient machine that has really made its mark in the modern fab shops today.

Now what you have to get is the Miller Optima pulser. I've ran the 30A on all types of power sources, the best one I've found though is a Lincoln 350pro inverter with the advanced proces kit. Smmmoooth at butter.

Dang, XMT350 w/ 30A spoolgun off my MM251,
Seems like one heck of a portable setup!!! 80 lbs isn't bad, and the spoogun reaches pretty far regardless.
I wonder if the spoolgun can handle 400amps, LOLOL>
Price is not bad, I mean for the top end MM350 it's the same range $3000 bux.
If you buy a 251 loaded, with spoolgun and all the fix'n, I spent enough to get an XMT!!!!
Of course I'm sure I'd be wanted all the tig and mig boxes, then your looking at double the price :(
