Andy,Hawk,anyone:
I haven't run our company's 301G with the 30a spoolgun since last fall.Today when I put it together with the WC-24 control Icould only get a slight spark when switched to remote. And of course when switched off the gun is always hot. Have I lost it or is there not a remote contactor in there somewhere? I was sure it worked in remote last fall. I have double and tripple checked all switches and connectors including breaker cb5(I think that is the correct number). Thank you in advance for any and all help

It sounds like it is on the wrong output stud or the machine is not set for CV with contactor in remote. Set the machine to high run spedd and make sure the gun is on electrode positive. AMP/VOLT control to panel with contactor in remote.

Should work fine.

Let me know

Andy,
Thank you for your response. The information you gave me was just how I had everything set.Iwent back over the set up again today but still with the same results.I'm wondering if the problem could be in the WC-24 box or possiblyin an amphenol connector? One other question:Is the WC-24 box Miller compatible only? The reason I ask is that we have some TA multi-process inverters with the 14pinconnector.I don't suppose this will work off of these machines.Idon't want to destroy something!
Thank you for your time and responses -1206

I'd be inclined to say to put your voltage control in "Local", the contactor only in "Remote".

Without an actual remote, all you'd get out of the 30a is a little spark
