I am going to fabricate a welding cart up for my Dynasty 200DX and a Coolmate 3 water cooler.
After buying two wheels today I began to think perhaps I would be money ahead just to buy the Miller Tig Runner cart instead of making one.
Then I noticed every ad I saw for the cart showed the 200 DX with a Coolmate 1 sitting under it. Not a #3.

So, my question is.....
The Tig Runner, is it only for the #1 cooler? The #3 is a larger size unit and does not look it will fit the shelf. Just curious....... pg

It only fit's the coolmate 1. It has a tray it sits on. I have a thread on here with pix.

Thankx Wrenchnride.
Now I feel better now about spending the $65 for 2 wheels today. For a moment I thought I should just buy the cart, but you affirmed that it will not hold my Coolmate 3 so I shall proceed with the cart fab.
I sure wish I had a tubing bender right now for the handle but I guess I will just use 1 inch square tube instead......... pg

No prob. So far I seem to be the only one on this forum with this cart. You could save time and find an old O/A cart to mod. ;)

$65 for two wheel's

I am building my own cart, & rather than bend my tubing, I just got an elec-chicken to bend me up some 3/4" conduit. He was already working @ our shop, so he did it for nothing. Keep in mind though, conduit is galvanised, so you'll either want to bolt it or NOT Tig it.

Wrenchnride.......
That is a nice cart from Miller. When you consider what 2 wheels cost, the price of the needed metal etc, you really do not save any money making your own. Maybe spend a bit more than the Miller in fact.
The wheels I bought are 8 inch ball bearing solid rubber, bonded to aluminum wheels. At $32 each they are not really that expensive, but it all adds up.

Jason......
The handle on a Miller cart is also round and looks like conduit too. Also, it is bolted to the frame.
I guess I will use 1 inch square tube for my handles and miter them at 45° to come back over the welder. Then I may weld in a pipe cross bar so I have something round to tug on. Round is easier on the old hands than a square tube......... pg

Check out the horrible Fright MIG cart when they are on sale for $39.00 bucks and a 20% off coupon great buy. Comes with two solid wheels and the steel, plus the hard ware. I bought two of them one to modify for my TIG Dynasty 200DXwith coolie3 and one for the plasma cutter. Haven't got around to them yet as to much other stuff to do. Plus the are Miller blue and the OSHA blue in the spray bomb is a pretty good match.

The bottom tray is just about 1/8" to small for a slide fit for the cool mate 3, and the top tray is a little short but by swapping the middle tray and top tray it works out and it just a matter of cutting slots in the back plate for air flow.

Besides have a torch a large hammer and a couple of welders with grinders and a case of paint I can modify anything!:D

or soak it in vinegar to remove the galvanizing.
