So I finally got to play with the 200 this week / weekend and about hour 6 or 7 into it I noticed something kind of funny. Whenever I have the machine on HF start when I go to stop welding and take my foot off the pedal the arc does not stop. And by not stop I mean up to thirty seconds of arc or until I pull the torch far enough away it can no longer keep continuity. It also gets louder in terms of at arc noise, kind of reminds me of a runaway train. I have checked and rechecked my settings and the final slope times and voltages are set as low as possible or turned off. The only thing I can see that helps is tapping the pedal with my foot ( kind of hard) any thoughts ?

It needs to be on RMT STD not 2T hold. When on RMT STD it doesn't use all those slope settings. It does what you control it to do.
It's all in the manual... if I said it wrong, then sorry.
2T hold or whatever its called on the face is for using a button with on and off only.
I sure hope I helped clear that up for you. i have done that myself before also and it is pretty freeky!

I will check that first thing in the morning when I get home , I posted this right before I was heading into work for the day. I will post again as soon as I can. Thanks again. And yes it was very freaky, I'm definately not used to having all these options, I hope it is operator error
Happens to our Sync 250 at school. My friend thinks it's the foot pedal that is faulty....Cruizer, what do YOU think?

The first time I used my new pedal it wouldn't let me control amps, it was either off, or on. It only happened that one time though. A little "working the pedal" (with power off) may of helped that from happing again.
On page 32 of my manual at top of page it says "Sequencing is avilable only while using TIG process, BUT is disabled if a remote foot or finger current control is connected to the remote receptacle while in the RMT STD mode."
