Just an "attaboy" for Miller Warranty. I have a customer with a Trailblazer 302 Kohler that broke the crank. Kohler says no warranty (this is still well within the 3 years published warranty on the engine) Called Miller---- new complete engine is on it's way!!
It's really hard to find that grade of customer service anywhere - especially in hard times.
A new Kohler up here is about $2700. That sure takes the profit out of that sale.

I've heard that before with Kohler, seems that they'll do anything to get out of a warranty, one talk with Miller in that 3yr time span, and a new engine is on it's way.

I had a Trailblazer 251 that was just out of the 3 year warranty, but it only had 33 hours on it, miller replaced the circuit board in it for free!!
The cheap high frequency unit I was using took it out I later found out. I switched to a old miller high frequency unit and no more problems........ The board was 700 dollars.
I do have a soft spot for Miller just for that one incident, also my local welding supplier who did the repair.

There were threads or posts about other people having trouble with their LWS. Unfortunately, they had to do the run-around, get it fixed with or rather through Miller. After all the advice Cruizer told you, if you call Miller and tell them what your LWS did vs. what was said here to fix your problem, maybe Miller will somehow bypass your LWS. I see a LOT of Dodge trucks here for rigs, and I think they are #1 in looks, but I would not accept one even if it was given to me for free. I had a new Dakota back in '84, neighbors have new 1500 and 2500's now and still having problems. Worst thing is the dealerships are HORRIBLE in getting/doing warranty work here. Everyone knows it, that's is why more people don't buy Dodge....Unfortunately, not a enough dealers here on the island....

Bert,
The only Dodge product I've ever purchased was my 3/4 ton truck with a Cummins. If it didn't have the Cummins, I'd be driving another brand diesel.
Having said that, I can tell you from first hand experience that Dodge warranty sucks. All other vehicles in my family are either Honda or Toyotas.
Sorry for the hijack.

There we go...knocking my Chinese heritage again:rolleyes:
Well it be better for us (Hawaii)? NO!!
Probably make us pay some kind of duty, for those trucks!
Would I ever buy one if it was cheap enough?? HECK NO!! NEVER!!
My Ford service is TOPS!! I have 24,000 miles on my truck, brakes were
vibrating (for a month or so), took it in yesterday and they did the 25,000 service, changed all rotors and pads:D. Mechanic said that was normal for that stuff. Those pads that last "forever" like my wife had on her van one time, squealed constatly. Said that squeal was normal for ceramic ones. I'm ignorant as heck about fixing vehicles, so it's nice to have a warranty from a good dealer..........

Do I CARE if someone makes fun of Chinese stuff? NO!
Sorry, I"m still laughing....

Sad part is, the US (yes, some people STILL don't know Hawaii is
part of the U.S.) would be dumb enough to PAY the duty!!!!!!
