Now, before everyone tells me I'm touched in the head, I know that:)

I noticed that on my TB302 welding with 7018 when I get to the end of a bead and kinda long arc it there is a sound from the arc, kind of a sequel or squeak. I thought I heard it the other day but I was welding pretty close to the machine and I thought it was something else, today I was a ways away on the other side of the truck and the sound is coming from the arc and only happens when you pull a long arc. Has no effect on the welding quality, I still love the machine, but I have never heard that sound before and I have welded on quite a few different machines.

I have heard that also... always wondered what caused it.

Have you considered the possibility that there is no noise and all of you are nuts?:p :p

Ranger 305s do the same thing when in the downhand pipe mode . I think its just a change in the volts with the arc length but im not sure. Pipepros also do the same ( The one I used anyways ).

Its the electronics controling the arc, high speed switching in the arc.
