Advanced Squarewave arc for improved weldability on aluminum and magnesium using low power. Continuous high-frequency is NOT needed because of the advanced Squarewave arc. AC frequency control range of 20 - 250 Hz provides control for a focused arc, resulting in better directional control to help produce desired arc/weld bead characteristics. Inverter-based, AC/DC power source has state-of-the-art operator interface allowing the user extra set-up capailities in a compact machine. Features more precise control of output parameters than traditional knobs and switches. Programmable HF start parameters allows the operator to independently set HF starting conditions based upon process and memory selection. Auto-Link® provides connection to 230 V or 460 V single- or three-phase power without having to remove the covers and relink the power source. HF arc starting provides non-contact arc starting that eliminates tungsten or material contamination. Superior Arc Performance even on difficult to run electrodes like E6010. Built-in pulser reduces heat input; adds arc stability (DX model only). Fan-On-Demand™ cooling system only operates when needed. Program memory features 4 independent memory levels per process (AC or DC TIG, AC/DC Stick) with last procedure recall to maintain established parameters in each memory. (DX model only). Extended Balance Control range (30-90% EN) allows precise cleaning control and prolonged tungsten life. Lift-Arc™ start provides TIG arc starting without the use of high frequency. Wind Tunnel Technology™ is an Internal air flow that protects electrical components and PC boards from dirt, dust, and debris, greatly improving reliability. LVC™ Line Voltage Compensation keeps output of the power source constant regardless of fluctuation in input power ± 10%. Squarewave technology is the AC output of a power source that has the ability to rapidly switch between the positive and negative half cycles of alternating current. Adaptive Hot Start™ for Stick |
