EXX10 Arc Performance Excellent   Excellent   Not Recommended   Use the Dynasty 200 for all Stick applications, 200 amps and less. Excellent for code work.
Adaptive Hot Start Yes   Yes   No   Provides exceptional arc starting for all Stick applications.
Low OCV for Stick Starts Yes (5-10 volts)   Yes (5-10 volts)   No (54 volts)   Limits the open circuit voltage during Stick welding to just 10 volts.
Dual Digital Meters Yes   Yes   No   Allows constant monitoring of voltage and amperage while welding.
Process Memory Recall Yes   Yes   No   Setting up the Dynasty is fast and easy. The Invertec requires working with a complex and frustrating interface.
AC Balance Control 30-99%   30-99%   35-85%   The Dynasty offers a greater range of Balance Control. More oxide cleaning if needed or a more focused arc for greater precision.
AC Frequency Control 20-250 Hz   20-250 Hz   20-150 Hz
Above 85 Hz-the Invertec is limited to 170 amps.
Weld thicker material and gain greater arc control with the Dynasty 200.
AC/DC Lift Arc Yes
(operates off of 5-10 volts)
  Yes
(operates off of 5-10 volts)
  No
(DC only)
The low voltage of Lift Arc reduces the risk of tungsten inclusions and produces fast, crisp starts even on aluminum. The V205T Touch Start uses a minimum of 54 volts. The result is sticky starts with a high rate of tungsten contamination. It cannot be used on aluminum.
Fan on Demand Yes   Yes   No   This reduces the amount of dirt pulled into the machine, prolongs the life, reduces maintenance and reduces noise.
Parameter Protection Lockout Yes   Yes   No   Limits parameter adjustment to only those parameters established by the Welding Engineer or other qualified personnel. Ensures that the weld procedure will be followed.
Arc Hour Counter Yes   Yes   No   Keep track of total hours or on a particular job.
Arc Cycle Counter Yes   Yes   No   Keep track of total arc starts.
Help Messages Yes   Yes   No   Aids in set-up and troubleshooting.
