Flexible fume extraction
The FILTAIR 400 High Vacuum System can be tailored to your welding operation with fume guns or accessories, which can be easily moved to different welding cells. The FILTAIR 400 High Vacuum System is also ideal for use with the new Bernard FILTAIR Clean Air Fume Gun, which maximizes suction without affecting shielding gas, resulting in efficient source-capture of weld fume particles.
Automated cleaning cuts operating costs
An intelligent control mechanism integrated with a built-in air compressor and air tank activates the self-cleaning cycle of the FILTAIR 400 High Vacuum System. The controlled cleaning that occurs only when needed helps extend the life of filters, saves energy and lowers the operating cost of the system.
Bernard™ FILTAIR Fume Extraction Gun
Go right to the source! Extract fumes at the weld bead by pairing the new Bernard FILTAIR Fume Extraction MIG Gun with the FILTAIR 400 High Vacuum System. Available in 300 and 400 amp models, the Bernard FILTAIR Gun features a small front-end vacuum chamber that maximizes weld visibility while suctioning fumes through the gun’s vacuum hose to a port on the FILTAIR 400. For ease of maneuverability and to reduce wrist fatigue, the gun’s comfortable curved handle has a swivel connection to the vacuum hose. An adjustable vacuum regulator located at the front of the gun handle allows balance of suction with shielding gas flow to protect against weld porosity.
FilTek XL filter technology
Miller FilTek XL Filter Technology is specifically designed for welding fumes. Miller filters outlast, out-filter, and outperform all the rest.

Minimize maintenance and downtime
Since the cleaning cycle activates only while the FILTAIR 400 High Vacuum System is running, there is no downtime for cleaning. With its 40-liter capacity, the large particle bin requires less-frequent emptying, increasing the amount of productive time. When there is a noticeable drop in suction at the gun, the system shuts down to allow replacement of the filter.
