Advanced Processes Now Available in Engine-Driven Welder/Generator

BigBlue_158x102The new Big Blue® 800 Duo Pro with FieldPro™ Smart Feeder compatibility improves productivity and efficiency in field welding applications. The multiprocess system can run conventional Stick, TIG, FCAW and MIG welding — and now advanced Regulated Metal Deposition (RMD®) and Pulsed MIG processes with the addition of the FieldPro Smart Feeder.

These advanced processes help to reduce weld failures and can eliminate backing gas on some stainless and chrome-moly pipe welding applications.

Rochester, New York Distributor Invests in Training Facility Expansion to Help Meet Industry Needs

Mahany Welding Supply Co. in Rochester, NY, opened the Rochester Arc & Flame Center (RocAFC), a 5,000 sq. ft. training center for welding, glass blowing and blacksmithing instruction in January of 2012. The school is the next step for a distributorship that has trained more than 3,000 welders in the last decade.

At the heart of the classroom, student welders are protected by an advanced weld fume management system that is impressing welding veterans. Read more about the Arc & Flame Center.

Miller Introduces New Dual-Operator System: the Big Blue 450 Duo CST

Late last week Miller introduced the newest member to its family of industrial engine-driven welding generators, the Big Blue 450 Duo CST. This dual-operator welding system provides two completely separate TIG/Stick welding outputs as well as 12,000 watts continuous 3-phase power and 10,000 watts continuous 1-phase power.
