Congrats to U.S. Invitational Weld Trials semifinalists!
Congrats to the six U.S. competitors who have moved on to the U.S. Invitational Weld Trials taking place at FABTECH 2012. These six will compete against each other for three spots and the right to move on to the finals in 2013.The winner of that final competition will earn the right to represent the U.S. at WorldSkills, as well as a $40,000 scholarship from AWS and sponsored by Miller.The six competitors at FABTECH will be, in no particular order:
Michael Miller of Metropolitan Community College in Nebraska (Instructor: Christian Beaty)
Tanner Tipsword of Eastern Wyoming College in Wyoming (Instructor: Leland Vetter)
Jordan Decker of Truckee Meadows Community College in Nevada (Instructor: Scott Holcomb)
Alex Pazkowski of Washtenaw Community College in Michigan (Instructor: Glenn Kay)
Andrew Cardin of Blackstone Valley Technical High School in Massachusetts (Instructor: Dan Rivera)
Drew Swafford of Cedartown High School in Georgia (Instructor: Matt Hayden)
