What can one say about thier father that won't sound like a fairy tale. This guy is the real deal, I had the honor of working for him a few years back and I was amazed at what OUR dad does. Sure he doesn't wear a cape or is affected by kryptonite, but he truly is a Hero to us all. Truly the last of a dieing breed, wheather it be welding, cutting, or laying out the job this IRONWORKER can do it better and safer, right now!!!!

Most arc welders are varibale from around 50 140 Amps.BUT: It depends on the thickness of the frame. I am by no means an expert, however when I weld 3mm thick RHS (Mild Steel) I use around 60 Amps with a 2.6mm rod. It seems to work well. OH and by the way. Wear full length overalls, Gauntlets (Long Leather Gloves), and a proper full face welding mask. The arc creates Ultraviolet light (Sunlight) but in very high doses, it will burn your eyes and skin. So be careful.Cheers

the 5 year life span thing is a myth and so is making the big bucks doing this. In retlaiy if your a commercial diver and you do it for many years then it can take a toll on the body, however welding isnt going to kill you any sooner. Also making the fat cash is a myth. You get paid as a diver and welding underwater is just something you might get asked to do. Wanna make money, go weld on a pipeline abover water
