Chain truck bed

All aluminum tig welded custom truck bed to haul Polaris Rzr. The aluminum pipe was bent into shape with an old Hossfield hydraulic bender. So were some of the custom brackets. The design was a collaboration of the client\'s wants/needs and my problem solving. The project was built in a farm shop with an Arcfit welding table (won by me in a Miller welding contest in 2010). The bulk of the welding was done with an old Miller 250 Dialarc with an even older Miller high frequency box and a scratch start torch. The Texas lights and plate inserts in the chain links were water jet cut by Fabtec in Rockwall, TX. Some of the braking and rolling of the diamond plate was done by Kents Metal Craft in Greenville Texas. There are 384 LED bulbs in the combination of the Texas tailights in the headache rack and the tailights in the truck bed. They are tied to toggle switches hidden in a toolbox that separate power sources. Up setting and the power comes from the 2012 Silvarado truck. Down and the power comes from the Peterbuilt 385 toter. The 100 inch ramps ride in custom compartments under the deck of the bed. When they are extracted for use they lock in place so that they won\'t move. The 2012 Silvarado\'s orginal back up camera and back up warning devices were installed in the new bed and function perfectly. The job took almost two months to complete. It was powdercoated a metal flake silver and black.
