  • Project Description

Made this heart sculpture for my girlfriend for valentines day, out of brass and stainless steel. I took stainless steel sheet metal and stamped 2 pieces into a heart using a custom die, then welded the 2 pieces together to make it 1 solid piece almost like a bubble. Then i polished it. next i worked on the base. where i rolled a piece of 1/4 solid round stainless stock into a circle. Then took stainless tig welding rod and twisted them, together to make it look like rope. I then tacked the tig rod around the solid round stock. Next was the brass ribbon i engraved it with a saying that says "my favorite place in all the world is next to you" once that was engraved i snipped a "V" into each end, and then i hand formed it around the heart.
