    a 15 inch deep octagon shaped fire pit with 3 inch pipe legs. Top of pit is 30 inches and the bottom is 18 inches. Four inch wide flange 2 inches from the top. Pit is made with 1/4 inch plate and 1/4x4 inch flat bar and 3 inch pipe

    Build Process

    Cut 8 side pannels the same size. Tacked them together. put on top of a piece of plate and marked bottom and cut and tacked bottom to side pannels and welded them together. Marked out the flange pieces tacked them to the side pannels 2 inches for the top and welded the up. cut 3 inch pipe on 15 degrees 4 inches long. Cut 5 inch circles and welded to pipe and then welded pipe to bottom of fire pit.Cut pieces of round stock and welded to make grill for logs to sit on.

    Tools Used

    Plasma cutter and home made circle cutter for plasma cutter, 4 and 7 inch grinders, framing square, bevel square, chop saw and millermatic 252 to do the welding
