  • Project Description

    This my scratch built replica Lotus 7, utilizes a home made space frame and suspension, fabricated aluminum body panels, home made windshield and roll bar. The car was also painted by myself, powered by a crate 3.4 GM 60 degree V6, Ford 8.8 rear axle. The car weighs approximately 1650 pounds with roughly 200 hp.

    Build Process

    I built the frame chassis out of 1x1 inch square tubing, made my own front A arms and rear five link setup using 1 inch round dom tubing, roll bar is 1.5 inch .120 tubing. Aluminum panels are hand formed and riveted to the chassis.

    Tools Used

    Miller 180 welder, King industrial drill press, King bandsaw, HF metal bender, JD2 tube bender, misc hand tools.
