Material Rack

by S. Bharrath Email S. Bharrath

Project Description

Made of entirely scrap pieces of H-beam collected from other jobs. It is 9.5 feet long so it holds full length material with reasonable overhang at ends and no sagging in middle. The top horizontal arm supplies the chop saw on another table. The two inside braces prevent any shifting along the length of the material. The arms allow material to be removed/loaded without sliding the entire material length through.

Build Process

Base first , then angled uprights, then vertical supports, then top pipe brace

Tools Used

Arc Welder, Chop Saw, Angle Grinder to smooth edges.
