Christine Peterson was touted as a new kind of pioneer, when in 1979 she was the first Deaf Coed to have graduated from a welding program at San Diego's Educational Cultural Complex. She is the first deaf female welder to be employed in San Diego County, California. Christine worked as a High Pressure vessel welder specializing in TIG welding of Expansion Joints until injuring her back. Her older sisters stimulated her interest in art. She works in various mediums; oil, watercolors, ink, coal, pastels, ceramic, crave wood and metal sculptures.In her welded sculpture she works in aluminum and bronze using both the Oxy-Acetylene and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding processes. Christine's work has been displayed in Seattle with the "No Boundaries" art exhibition, San Francisco in the Main Libarary, with the VSA arts network, at both East and West Deaf Expos, the North County Society of Fine Arts in Poway, Ca. displayed in the San Diego Art Institute. At 12 years ago Cal Diego PVA art show she won 1st and 3rd place in Sculpture. Now she join the Linkedln and Twitter.

After injury on Dec. 2000 I was so stock that my father gave a best Christmas present 2000 new brand Tig Weld machine than in my life but still never use it because of my 2nd husband's lazy and bad years and my father was passed in Oct 2001. Still no job for me and need some money for a metal shed and 200 amp to here.
