Wak-Trac

Project Description

This is a very small riding mower converted to a bulldozer using recycled parts from an old conveyer system. I've always been interested in small dozers and decided to build my own. Everyone that sees it has to stop and take a look. The name comes from my father’s initials. Customize Description I removed the axle assemblies from the mower. I then reinstalled the rear axle on top of the frame and re-routed the drive chain. Underneath I installed 2 fixed axles with 17 tooth #40 idler sprockets. the rear sprockets also have an extra sprocket and chain that connects it to the original drive axle. I made the cats by welding 2"x 1/2" angle to #40 straight bar chain. Steering is controlled by a brake installed on each end of the original rear axle. Pulling either lever will stop the tracks on that side. Materials and Tools MIG welder, plasma cutter, band saw

Funny, it does not look like the new computer chip from AMD.(bulldozer) It looks great. Kind of like the Struck Kit bulldozers. I bet you will have lots of fun with this thing.

I am going to build this unit for my kid. I am wondering if the unit can be outfited with remote control parts so it can move under it's own power. I have many componets that will fit and work just fine. I'm going for it.. Dave
