Stepping Stone Side Table

by R. Macdougall

Project Description

I would first cast a cement bending block. A form can be bought at any stained glass shop. Bend the angle or flat bar around this jig to make the top form of the table. Cut the material you choose for the legs to length (4pcs). Attach the legs to the top, 3/4 of the way done with the legs, either bend scrolls or a ring (which could accept a small flowr pot) to tie in this area. After the welds are ground, you can wrap the area with wire for the old-style look. Good luck. Materials and Tools: You can use either of these two types of material: (1/2" round or square stock) for legs ,1”x1/8” flat bar or 3/4' x 1/8' angle for wrapping around cement top. Oxy-fuel cutting for forming scrolls, hacksaw, grinder, heavy gauge wire (14) which I sometimes wrap around the weld joints to make it look old style.
