Paint Stands

by K. Kirby

Welding challenge finalist! These are paint stands that I built using all salvage , scrap metal, and closeout paint. Online paint stands for my Harley tanks and fenders were going to cost $575 plus shipping. I built my own and made them fully adjustable for height and tilt, front to back, side to side for standard paint or airbrushing. They are totally stable and adaptable for Softails, Roadking, and metric. Materials and Tools: I used fan bases from a junk yard (you could use old car rims), cut-offs of light angle and flat from the scrap bucket, bolts from my used bolt drawer, and closeout hammer tone paint. Tools: MIG, cut-off, grinder, drill, paint brush, and brain.
