Andy Weyenberg Bio

Andy in the victory lane with Dennis Sentzer of the #46 Craftsman truck series at Martinsville Speedway.

Andy Weyenberg is Miller Electric’s Manager of Motorsports. His expertise in racing comes from his background in racing cars and building them from the bottom up. His expertise in welding comes from a life-long involvement in a family welding business. Andy now lives in Charlotte, North Carolina - the hotbed of NASCAR racing - where he works with several of the top race teams that choose to build their cars exclusively with Miller equipment.

Andy calls on such teams as: Richard Childress, Dale Earnhardt Inc., Evernham, Roush Racing, Penske Racing, Robert Yates, and Hendrick Motorsports, where he shares his expertise and helps solve welding-related problems in order to keep our teams on top!

Having a father whose interest was also in welding, Andy was brought up with welding as a part of his everyday life. His father, Roy, had a welding business at home, where Andy built most of his early race cars. As Andy’s interest grew in both arenas, it was a natural transition for him to move into the welding business as his chosen vocation.

He joined Miller Electric in 1990 working first in the Metal Fabrication Department, then the Technical Service Department, and the Training Department, training Distributor Technicians around the country.

In his own racing career, Andy has had the privilege of driving on some of the same tracks as winning drivers such as Dick Trickle, Matt Kenseth, Rusty Wallace, Alan Kulwicki, and Mark Martin. Andy’s knowledge and expertise in welding, fabrication and racing make him a natural resource for you, our customers, to utilize for all of your racing and welding needs. Let us help keep you on top, too!
