With all of the great projects we received we decided to give out some "honorable mention" awards this year. Check out the 6 honorable mention winners who will all be receiving a Miller Cloth Welding Jacket.
EASY CATEGORY
Prize Awarded:Mr. Ed Chair
S. Sweeney
His wife saw a similar chair and he knew with his metalworking skills that he could build something cheaper. The real question is “is it really comfortable” and Sean says “it’s way more comfortable than it looks." He will be adding the Spectrum 375 X-TREME plasma cutter to his shop where he makes custom choppers and parts.
MODERATE CATEGORY
Ditch Mower
D. Fisher
He has a 3 acre yard and has to mow both sides of the ditch. His neighbor gave him the push mower and in return all he asks is for Duane to mow his lawn as well. He will be adding the Spectrum 375 X-TREME to his shop as well and hopes to start on a cultivator to pull behind this tractor as his next project.
DIFFICULT CATEGORY
Prize Awarded:Portable Band Saw Mill
J. Paddock
He always wanted to be able to cut up lumber so he could build stuff with it. This project took him between 3-4 years and was his first “big” project. This was his first time entering the contest because the “difficult” category was added. He is hoping to build a duck boat with his brother as his next welding project! He will be adding the Diversion 165 TIG Welder to his shop.
