Miller proudly introduces El Diamante High School in Visalia, California.
At El Diamante High School, 110 students are enrolled in Agriculture Mechanics courses designed to develop creativity, imagination and craftsmanship in shop students. Equipped with Miller Syncrowave® TIG welders and Millermatic® 251 MIG welders, oxyfuel stations and a variety of other equipment and machinery, students learn MIG, TIG and Stick welding, as well as oxy-fuel and plasma cutting. Ag Mechanics instructor Zach Brown believes his role extends beyond education.
"My role is not only to educate the students in the area of Ag Mechanics, but also to inform them of the many opportunities that the welding industry offers," says Brown. "The Ag Mechanics curriculum allows students to develop basic welding and fabrication skills they need to begin careers in welding."
