Throw Some Sparks with Hands-on Demonstrations of New Miller Welding Products at 2008 EAA AirVenture
- Featuring the Millermatic® Passport® Plus and the Millermatic® 180 with AutoSet™ all-in-one MIG welders, as well as the new Spoolmate™ 100 Series spool gun
APPLETON, Wis. May 16, 2008—Miller Electric Mfg. Co. will be presenting live MIG, TIG and Plasma Cutting demonstrations at booth #S-4 during the 2008 EAA AirVenture, July 28-August 3, in Oshkosh, Wis. On hand will be the new Millermatic® Passport® Plus and the Millermatic® 180 with AutoSet™ all-in-one MIG welders, as well as the new Spoolmate™ 100 Series spool gun, which easily and economically adds aluminum welding capabilities to these welders. Visitors are invited to stop at the booth and try any of the Miller products and receive advice from welding experts.
- The Millermatic® 180 with Auto-Set™ was designed as the simplest MIG welder in the industry. The user simply has to set the wire diameter and material thickness. The patent pending Auto-Set technology automatically sets wire feed speed and voltage to achieve optimal welding results, allowing the user to weld with confidence. The Millermatic 180 with Autoset provides the capability to weld 4 gauge - 5/16-in. mild steel. When combined with the Spoolmate™ 100 Series spool gun, the Millermatic can weld 18 gauge to ¼-in. aluminum.
- The new Millermatic® Passport® Plus all-in-one MIG welder provides a superior arc in an ultra portable and lightweight (45 lbs.) package. Like the original Passport it replaces, the Passport Plus has an impressive arc on mild and stainless steel, but the new model also offers excellent performance on aluminum. In combination with the new direct connect Spoolmate™ 100 Series spool gun, the Passport Plus provides outstanding welding performance on 18 gauge through ¼-in. aluminum. A three-position material selection switch sets optimal arc characteristics for steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
- The new Miller Spoolmate™ 100 Series spool gun puts aluminum welding within easy reach for owners of Millermatic® 140 with Auto-Set™, Millermatic® 180 and Millermatic® Passport® Plus MIG welders. The Spoolmate 100 Series plugs directly into any of these welders without the need for a separate control box. With a list price of $218, the Spoolmate 100 Series is designed primarily those who occasionally weld aluminum.
