Miller To Showcase Welding Equipment and Safety Gear at the 2008 CONEXPO-CON/AGG Show
APPLETON, Wis., December 3, 2007—At the 2008 CONEXPO-CON/AGG Show (Booth S-660) Miller Electric Mfg. Co. will show its new XMT® MPa multiprocess inverter with pulsed MIG, the PipePro™ 450 welding power source, the SuitCase™ X-TREME™ Series wire feeders, CST™ 280 8-pack welding rack, Digital Elite™ auto-darkening welding helmets and Arc Armor™ safety gear.
Miller products to be showcased at 2008 CONEXPO-CON/AGG:
* XMT® 350 MPa
For pulsed MIG welding in portable applications or when space savings and low weight are a prime consideration, Miller Electric Mfg. Co. offers its XMT® 350 MPa multiprocess inverter featuring built-in pulsed MIG capabilities. It is the industry's first welder specifically designed for pulsed MIG welding with voltage sensing feeders, such as Miller's SuitCase™ X-TREME™ Series.
* SuitCase™ X-TREME™ 8VS & 12 VS
Miller's SuitCase™ X-TREME™ 8VS and 12VS voltage-sensing wire feeders improve wire welding performance in portable applications. Both feeders feature two fully-driven drive rolls that provide positive feeding performance for solid and flux-cored wire.
The SuitCase X-TREME 12VS weighs 35 lbs. and holds wire spools up to 12-inches, while the more compact 28-lb. Suitcase X-TREME 8VS holds an 8-inch spool. The Suitcase X-TREME VS Series features a polypropylene case that withstands the rigors of extreme shipbuilding, construction, maintenance and rental equipment applications.
* CST™ 280 8 Pack Rack
Available in a lightweight and compact eight pack rack configuration, the Miller CST™ 280 Stick/TIG welder provides contractors with the ability to place a large number welding arcs at locations where space is at a premium. The 8 Pack Rack weighs only 640 lbs. fully-loaded and features a lift eye and lift truck fork pockets for job site portability.
* PipePro™ 450
Providing unmatched versatility for field and shop fabrications, the PipePro™ 450 offers superior arc performance in all welding processes: Stick, TIG, MIG, FCAW, Air Carbon Arc Cutting and Gouging.
The PipePro 450 features the patented RMD™ (Regulated Metal Deposition) which is easier to use than conventional pulse in out-of-position pipe welding applications. More user-friendly than competitive systems, operators can become proficient with the RMD Pro process much faster than they can with TIG or Stick welding.
* Miller Auto-Darkening Welding Helmets
The new top-of-the-line Digital Elite™ Series features a welding, grinding, cutting and new X-Mode that electromagnetically senses the arc, providing full protection for those instances when there is an arc present, but the sensors are obstructed. X-Mode eliminates interference from sunlight and out-of-position welding angles.
* Arc Armor™
To meet the demand for attractive safety apparel that fits as well as it functions, Miller's Arc Armor™, a line of affordable safety apparel focuses on style, design and comfort. Arc Armor uses high quality materials and a welder-friendly design to break away from the clunky, boxy standard currently found in the industry.
