Miller Electric Mfg. Co. Celebrates New Facility with Open House
GREENVILLE, Wis. February 7, 2007—Miller Electric Mfg. Co. recently hosted an open house to celebrate the opening of its new Light Industrial facility at Mayflower Drive and Highway 96 in Greenville. An estimated 600 people attended the event, where they had the opportunity to have their pictures taken alongside the famous Miller Chopper, tour the new facility and learn more about Miller’s light industrial products, which include Miller’s highly popular line of Millermatic all-in-one MIG welders.The new building, which opened in September of 2006, is the eighth Miller facility in the Fox Valley.
“This expansion represents our commitment to the local community, to continuing investment and to growth,” said Mike Weller, Miller president, at the new facility’s groundbreaking in 2006. “In the last three years, Miller has experienced double-digit growth, outpacing the industry.”
The new Light Industrial facility is 27,000 square feet larger than its former facility at 1919 W. College Avenue in Appleton. The building includes more manufacturing and engineering space, a product demonstration room and six more additional shipping and receiving bays.
