Miller CST 280 Stick/TIG Inverter Now Available in 8-Pack Rack

APPLETON, Wis. January 29, 2007—The Miller CST™ 280 Stick/TIG welding power source is now available in an eight arc rack configuration. Its light weight (625 lbs.) and small footprint (46 in. x 26-1/2 in.) provide an easily transportable solution to construction professionals who need a large number of superior quality arcs on site, especially in locations where space is at a premium.

When loaded with eight CST 280s, the new rack is light enough to be lifted in an elevator and also features a lift eye and lift truck fork pockets for complete job site portability. The new rack takes up minimal floor space (H x W x D: 50-3/4 in. x 46 in. x 26-1/2 in.), while its rugged enclosure provides protection in the field.

Designed specifically for the construction industry, the Miller CST 280 provides best-in-class performance with 280 amps of output, ideal for Stick electrodes up to 3/16 in. and TIG welding of pipe and plate. Its simple operator interface reduces training and set-up time, and the process selector knob automatically sets proper dig setting on E6010 and E7018 electrodes.

The 8 Pack Rack supplies power to the eight CST 280s through one main disconnect box with circuit breakers for each power source. Individual CST 280s are easily removed for stand-alone use. Carbon arc gouging is accomplished by paralleling power sources.
