DALLAS, June 1, 2005 Pairing Miller's Dimension™ 452 multiprocess welding source and Hobart Brothers FabCO® RXR E70T-1, E70T-9 tubular wire optimizes performance and increases reliability in high volume fabricating applications. This package supports welding in harsh environments where fabricators need to create code quality welds with minimal pre-cleaning.
The Dimension 452 CC/CV power source provides proven reliability and MIG, Stick, TIG, flux cored, Air Carbon Arc Cutting/Gouging and Submerged Arc welding. These multiprocess features minimizes the need and cost for additional machines and improves productivity by allowing fabricators to use one machine for all their welding needs. For example, fabricators can create code quality TIG root welds, then switch to flux cored welding with the FabCO RXR while using the same machine. The Dimension 452 also minimizes long-term operating costs by reducing downtime caused by over cycling associated with machines that operate at less than 100 percent duty cycle.
The Dimension 452 also includes a unique Fan-On-Demand™ cooling system that only operates when needed. In dirty or dusty environments, this feature reduces the amount of airborne contaminants pulled through the machines, keeping internal components cleaner. In severe conditions an optional air filter may be added to further reduce contaminants.
To further enhance reliability and improve welding performance on thicker materials that are subject to contaminants, the FabCo RXR E70T-1, E70T-9 tubular wire has added deoxidizers that weld through rust, mill scale and light oil without pre-cleaning. FabCO RXR wire provides high deposition, deep penetration and minimal slag, while optimizing welding on flat and horizontal lap, fillet and groove applications. FabCO RXR operates with a 100 percent CO2 shielding gas and is available in wire diameters ranging from .045-in to 1/8-in diameter.
Coupling FabCO RXR wire with the Dimension 452 creates a rugged, durable welding system that handles harsh environments. The FabCO RXR's added deoxidizers reduce downtime and costs associated with pre-cleaning and, combined with the Dimension 452, minimize rework associated with cold lap, cracking or poor penetration.
